New Chapters Book Club
Join Our Skipton Personal Development Book Club!
Are you eager to grow, learn, and connect with like-minded individuals? Do you love diving into books or audiobooks that inspire personal growth? If you’re looking to turn knowledge into action and build new friendships in the Skipton area, our personal development book club is for you!
What We Do
We’ll explore one personal development book or audiobook each month, meeting once a month on a Thursday evening at a relaxed pub in Skipton. Our meetings will be split into two engaging parts:
Deep Dive & Takeaways: We’ll critically discuss the current month’s book, sharing our key learnings, “aha!” moments, and practical takeaways. We’ll identify specific actions or habits we want to implement in our lives – from prioritizing sleep to improving our daily routines.
Accountability & Experience Sharing: In the following meeting, we’ll share our experiences, celebrate successes and discussing challenges. This supportive environment is all about motivating each other to make those small, positive changes that lead to a more fulfilling life.
Why Join Us?
This isn’t just about reading; it’s about applying what we learn and holding ourselves gently accountable to foster real personal growth. It’s a fantastic opportunity to expand your mind, gain new perspectives, spend time with likeminded people and maybe make some new friends.
Ready to embark on a journey of continuous improvement with us? We can’t wait to meet you!

TBR - our to-be-read list
Below you can see a selection of books we’re planning on reading. Book club members are encouraged to suggest books they are interested in and we will decide together which one we will read next.
The idea is to make it as interesting and relevant for the majority of members as possible.
In August, we will read The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins.
